. I do the best I can to describe what I see but it IS possible that I may miss something so PLEASE ask questions before buying. Please also remember that vintage/pre-owned means that it is not unexpected to have the item show natural signs of aging and use and that all items are sold "as is". Unless otherwise stated, my items are previously owned and are sold 'as is'. Again, I do my best to describe and represent each item as it is. Vintage & USED CLOTHING items have multiple lives meaning they may have come from a home where cats, dogs or goats lived .  Or where people smoked or burned scented candles or incense. Most women smoked and had no idea what deodorant was back in the day soooo  If you're buying vintage or used clothing items on EBAY, you should already know this and if not, you do now. If you are expecting all items which may or may not have been purchased at Estate Sales, Thrift Stores, Garage Sales etc to be odor free then you should confine your buying to items that you can see and smell first hand. -along with vintage sizing which IS NOT LIKE MODERN VANITY SIZING.
Please filter that into your buying decision-especially if you're allergic or OVERLY SENSITIVE to smoke or dryer sheets fragrances or scented candles or laundry detergent or flowers as all my items ship with a dryer sheet to keep out moisture etc.  Obviously this is not a scent which will last forever.

But honestly, we are not interested in the failed/forced return policies or process with anyone who thinks their garment, purse or shoes smell when they clearly read no returns and all the facts about the very smells or defects previously stated. ;) These clothes are not new for the most part but beloved fashions from times passed.

This is is now but once was not a smoke free home; items are placed in bags & stored in plastic totes after being disinfected and deodorized and usually hand washed when the fabric is not in question -due to the nature of places purchased as well, (only taken out for picture taking purposes) and placed in a storage unit. However, smell may still be detectable. All silk/wool items are sprayed with fabric disinfectant since they are delicate and not hand washed like all other items so may have a 'funny' smell which is removed during the dry-cleaning process or time.

RETURN POLICIES
This store does not accept returns unless the listing states that particular item is returnable as I do list some items with return option so look carefully.. Some exceptions will be made in very rare cases. It is important to contact the store FIRST. Reasons such as wrong size etc are not acceptable.
If the issue cannot be remedied, the buyer should be aware that:
1. Customers have 3 days from item delivery to contact seller 1st about any issues.
2. Product must be returned in its original packaging unworn, unused and undamaged. It must literally look as though you immediately put it back into the packaging.
3. After said return is accepted and initiated via Ebay, the customer has 7 days to print the return postage & have the item being returned in the mail with tracking. The tracking # and it's date are very important so keep this in mind.
4. The buyer is responsible for any return shipping costs & there is a 20% restocking fee. This is to deter any 'habitual returners'. Though there is now in-place an allowance of 30 days to make a return, remember that the items from this store are considered used clothing so any return that far out will be suspect.
5. The Owl & Peacock reserves the right to refuse any refund if these conditions aren't met.  And any returning item falling outside of these very explicit time-frames will be refused & returned to sender.
6. Discounted items or items "On Sale" and "As-Is" bathing suits, formal dresses etc aren't eligible for refunds. All sales are final.
7. Items which do not fit or the buyer has changed their mind aren't eligible for a refund as the measurements and details are listed in each listing.
8. Be very careful when choosing why you are wanting to return the item in question as the seller reserves the right to report the buyer as abusing the overall practices and policies established and set forth by Ebay Inc. "Item not as described" should almost never be the case if you've read the listing. Colors can vary from my computer to yours. We are currently looking to solve why most pictures change/degrade when uploaded to Ebay.
9. In those very rare cases if there is an item in the store which is within the same category and which can be considered an even "exchange" may be negotiated in that FIRST contact. If the item for exchange is more or less than, the buyer pays the overage, return shipping and the seller refunds the difference whichever the case may be.
