    Description

    Swimsuit or playsuit probably from the 1950's to early 1960's, based on the fabric color and design. Outer layer is soft lightweight woven print fabric, probably a cotton/nylon blend, with a slight sheen. Inner layer is a sturdy turquoise cotton. Suit has a center front seam, waist seam, high V neckline, long back metal zipper with a single pearl button at the top, elasticized shirred side panels, and cute boy outer legs with elasticized inner leg. Light built-in bra between the fabric layers. Labeled GaBar, New York, it has an old union label. Good used condition. Laid flat it measures 18.5" armpit to armpit with some stretch in the shirred side panels, and 30.5" shoulder to bottom leg edge. Waist is about 30" and hips about 36 ".
