    Description

    VERY RARE 50’s vintage Original BROOKS Leather Mossbrook Saddle Bag + Bracket.
    1950's Brooks Mossbrook Holdall SaddleBag: Quick Release Attachment - RARE (good cond’n)
    This is a super rare and cool 1950's to early 1960's Brooks saddle bag! It is the original model that the current production Glenbrook was inspired by. This model has a special quick release pin attachment. The pin easily attached (in seconds) the bag to a seat stay mounted bracket (stamped
    ‘Brooks’ and original to the bag) included in auction (see pictures of it mounted to a bike)
    It's quite large, at about 12" wide. Construction is a faux leather nylon, with genuine leather back/bottom reinforcing section, straps and trim. There's a rigid internal frame which holds the bag's shape solid.
    Condition
    The body and internal structure are in good to great cond’n (one area of the top where 1cm of stitching could be tidied up a bit). The bracket and quick release are pristine as is the ‘Brooks’ badge. Buckles and rivets are excellent, but 3 of the 4 leather closure straps are torn and need replacing. One of the main straps Still functions. These could be easily repaired inexpensively By any shoe repair shop. I decided to leave as is to let the buyer restore as they like. Even without the straps the bag is solid and the lid stays closed while riding b/c of the bags internal structure.
    Internal is super clean with only a few spots of discoloration. Worthy of any show bike or shop display, or ride this on a L'Eroica ride to turn some heads.
