I've had these about 6 months now and I think they're great. I had a helper mark every stud location on the floor & top plate of a 1000sq ft garage & 980sq ft bonus room. Yes the tip was worn down, but it still worked! I used red for the studs & green for where the electrical boxes were. There is a hole in the cap for a neck rope (lanyard) and the clip is designed to hook onto a hard hat. The cap has a nice tight fit & loud click to keep it on the marker. If you leave the cap off for up 72 hours, no problem, the pen will still work. If you use these with paper be careful as the pen will bleed right thru, my 00 laptop now has green marker on it.

We use these on tile, siding (concrete) wood and just about any type of surface. We were ibstallijg James Hardi siding and my pencils xoildnt keep up. I bought this pack and they worked great. The tips will eventually flatten out but that is to be expected.
