Description

Attention: Due to a nationwide shortage of plastics, I am currently (June 29) unable to get more of the materials I use to make these plates. The current estimate for the materials to be back
in stock is six to 12 weeks. This means, what you see here is what I have and what I will have for two to three months or more. Also, I expect another (third this year) increase in prices.
So, get your plates now while you can.
These replica Haro Series One Plates are about as good as you'll find anywhere. I've been making these (and other styles) by hand from start to finish for more than 10 years and I have hundreds of happy customers. Each is hand made by me in basically the same way and using the same basic materials as they were back in the 1980s when Haro first introduced the Series One, and before the switch to injection molded plates. I use eyelets, however, instead of the rivets and velcro of the originals.
Offered here are the five basic original colorways sold by Haro in the early-1980s—white, black, blue, red and yellow. Plates fit most traditional, two-piece BMX handlebars with 5.5"-9" rise and 23-25" width. They may also fit other sizes. They will not fit CW bars or four-piece welded bars. They also will not fit the wide, low-profile cruiser bars used in the late-1970s and into 1980/81 or similar modern bars like those used on some SE Bikes. For those cruiser bars, we recommend the cropped Series One plates, which are what the pros used back in the day. They are available in another listing.

I’m sorry, but I will no longer ship to the UK. Almost all the items I have shipped to the UK over the last year have taken many weeks or months to be delivered. Some (too many) were never delivered at all. All could be tracked to England, but there they sat. Why? No ne knows. And no one in the UK seemed to be able to find them. Several were returned to me due to lack of tariffs being paid. In all cases, the customer never received notice of tariffs due. Again, I’m sorry, but I can’t be responsible for the UK’s postal delivery service and, thus, I will not ship there any more.
